polyphonic instrument staff to several mono staffs plug in
Hi all,
I know this is a longshot but I was wondering if there's a plug in (or a feature I've missed) that can extract out a staff containing chords to several monophonic staffs? I frequently work with SMF (.mid) files that are notated with chords in a single staff which I then want to reorchestrate for several monophonic instruments. For example, the feature would take a 3 note chord on a single staff and extract it to create, or populate 3 existing staffs each containing one of the chordal notes. Doing this manually takes more of my time than I like to admit and was hoping someone has addressed this need/want/hope/desire before :-)
Thanks!
Dennis

Oops...my bad. Just found a related thread and that the edit-tools-explode is just what I was looking for! God I love MuseScore :-)
On that same topic, is there an implode function, to easily create a piano reduction or such?

Thanks for this. It is a start. I would love to see it be able to eventually put multiple rythms into different voices, but, not being a computer programmer, am not sure if this is possible. Thank you for sending me this, I will be using this for the little pieces I write for my students and such. Thanks!

a possible workaround: select for example the first staff> Edit / Voices > Exchange Voice 1-2;
Copy and paste the second staff in the first;
Repeat the exchange of voices.
