Musescore V0.9.6.3 crashes while V0.9.5 works fine
Hi,
I have a Dell laptop with WinXP and I'm forced to use Musescore V0.9.5 because when I start V0.9.6.3 an error pops up:
"mscore.exe has generated errors ans will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An errorlog is being created."
I have no idea where to look for, I cannot find any errorlog file, what can I do ?
many thanks

Can you try with
-s
instead of-F
Thanks again, I will try tonight.
Does there exist a manual with a more detailed description of all the possibilities besides the Handbook (I have it for version 0.9.2) ?
(for exemple, I didn't find info for the -s switch, ...)
regards

The most recent handbook is at http://musescore.org/en/handbook
Check here for Command line options

Sorry for the delay ...
I tried your suggestion ( -s key, and with all other keys as well), without improvement.

Hi odul, what's the screen resolution of your laptop?
The requirements are:
* Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7
* 125MB hard disk space required for software download and installation
* 1024 by 768 pixels or higher screen resolution

Hi,
Hard disk space & resolution fulfil requirements, but Windows is 2000Pro SP4 (not XP as mentioned before) ...
Is there really no way to make it work as such ? (I' m reluctant to buy new stuff just for my repetition cellar)

Windows 2000 is not supported (even by Microsoft, which puts your computer at risk for hacking and viruses every time you connect to the Internet). If you are not tied you Windows you could upgrade to a free operating system such as Ubuntu .

OK thx, I will try.
