Can you post the output of the command "locale" when run on the terminal? Localisation works fine here..

I can tell you exactly what i have done!
Maybe i have done something wrong
I unistall the version 0.9.6 with sudo apt-get autoremove musescore
then i downloaded the musescore_1.0+dfsg-0ubuntu~lucid1_i386.deb
and installed it as usual with the deb installer of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid
When i am going by the preferences there is only the system language choice
I have done the same thing in another pc that i have which runs aptosid απάτη (this is a debian derivative)
Firstly i have installed the musescore_0.9.6.2+dfsg-0ubuntu~lucid1_i386.deb and everything was ok, after i have done the same thing that i explained.
Have i done something wrong?
I have checked also under usr/share/mscore0.9/locale and the qm files are there is it maybe because the file name is still mscore 0.9 and not something like mscore 1.0?

Hi there,
to ensure things all work together, please do not get the deb files independently of the repository, unless you always make sure to grab *all* the updated package files. Please add the repository to your system as described on its page at [1]; then you should get updates automatically without having to worry about getting the files. Furthermore, you shouldn't need to remove the old versions before upgrading: dpkg does that for you.
I believe the problem here arises because you've installed a new version of the musescore package, but neglected to install a new version of the musescore-common package (which ships the translations); with both installed here, MuseScore localises correctly (see the attached screenshot). I'm building an updated package for Debian right now where that version dependency can't be satisfied unless you have both musescore and musescore-common installed at at least version 1.0.
Try updating musescore-common as well, preferably by adding the repository to your system, and upgrading in your usual manner.
Good luck!

Thank you very much!

Dear Toby,
I have some questions more and i could need your help!
1. I have added the repository and i 've installed musescore v.1.0 in Ubuntu 10.04
By the pallette by the Drums section there is nothing inside! Is this normal? (See the screenshot)
2. By Aptosid i 've added the repository and i 've install it and when i am trying to save the save window is like a wall! There is nothing to see!
3. Could be possible to create a musescore v 1.0 pet package for Puppy Linux 4.3.1, Puppy Linux 5.0?
Best regards

1. Read drum notation
2. See http://musescore.org/en/node/5639
3. There is no reason why it shouldn't be possible.

I would love to work in Puppy Musescore but i don't know how can i create pets!

I contacted the guys of puppy linux at #puppylinux on irc.freenode.net. They will take a look to make a pet for MuseScore. Apparently, Puppy lucid (5.X) can install ubuntu packages as well.
