Note duration templates

Apologies for the incoherent explanation, but I don't know how to explain it any better...

I often find that one bar will have exactly the same rhythm as a previous one, but with different notes. Suppose the pattern is dotted crotchet, quaver, dotted quaver, semiquaver rest. If I see that the next measure has the exact same pattern, it would be nice to be able to copy that information, paste it and then type in what the pitches are. This would be particularly useful for orchestral and SATB stuff where the different parts are all playing more or less the same rhythm but different notes; it would make the whole thing much quicker.
