What if you run the following in a terminal ?
export QT_NO_GLIB=1
mscore
What if you enable jack in Edit -> Preferences -> I/O?

Very nice! Thank You!
Is it now necessary for me, to start the programm this way?

Which one is working ?
if it's the export, you could add it to the MuseScore start script. For Jack, it's saved by MuseScore.

Hi.
I'm having this same problem. Where should I put the instruction on the script? Which section?
Thanks.
In reply to Where is the start up script? by angelsguitar
The script is
mscore.sh
. So you should be able to find it withwhich mscore
. You can add theexport QT_NO_GLIB=1
statement at the beginning of this script. Let me know if it works and I will add this to the Known Incompatibilities page and file a proper bug report. In reply to The script is mscore.sh. So by [DELETED] 5
Thanks for your response. I found the script and added the line at its beginning.
This fix indeed works; now the "open file" and "save file" windows open correctly.

This issue still persists on Lubuntu 11.04; the procedure above still fixes the problem.
