Midi Input not working
I am using MuseScore 1.0 on Ubuntu 10.04. My midi keyboard is connected to the computer and is available for connection via Jack. When MuseScore starts up, I expect it to make itself available for connection as a writable client in the Jack connection kit ALSA tab, but it doesn't. Other apps, such as ZnyAddSubFX show up there automatically, and once I make the connection, the midi works fine. I know this has worked with earlier versions of MuseScore but it no longer works. I can't see any options in the preferences application that allow me to specify any input IO choices at all. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ted

AFAIK midi input via jack never worked. MIDI imports is based on ALSA or PortMIDI/Alsa. Can you share a screenshot of your Preferences -> I/O

MuseScore MIDI input does not work with Jack selected. You need to choose portaudio.

Thanks for your input. Portaudio doesn't seem to be enabled on my machine; I'll have to look into installing it and decide if it's worth it. The audio is working well with ALSA and Jack now; I hate to mess it up.
Thanks again.
