    BEFORE YOU START

MuseScore Drumline is now optimized for MuseScore 3, our latest edition of the editor. It is important to note that MDL 1.2 does NOT work with any editor version prior to MuseScore 3. If you would like to continue using MuseScore 2.3.2, you will only be able to use MDL 1.1 and will not have access to MDL updates within that editor version.

    Step 1 - Download MuseScore 3:

    Download and install MuseScore 3 - https://musescore.org/en/download

Step 2 - Open the Resource Manager

Once you have installed MuseScore 3, go to the Resource Manager (Help / Resource Manager).

Step 3 - Download and Install the MuseScore Drumline Extension

Select Install next to the MuseScore Drumline extension.

After selecting Install, extension status should change to Downloading.

Once downloaded, the package will automatically install and update MuseScore 3 (or 2.3) with the new MuseScore Drumline features.

This installation process could take a few minutes, depending on the speed of your computer, particularly when installing the MDL soundfonts.

Step 4 - Close the Resource Manager and Start Using the MuseScore Drumline Extension

After the installation process is complete, close the Resource Manager. You should now see the MDL workspace indicator in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Selecting MDL from the workspace menu will enable the MDL Workspace and enable palettes exclusive to MuseScore Drumline:

    • MDL Battery
    • MDL Front Ensemble

MuseScore Drumline is now installed, configured and ready to use.

    Installing Updates

From time to time updates to MuseScore Drumline may be released. You should receive a prompt to notify you of any available update when starting MuseScore.

Simply click on the prompt or return to the Resource Manager, find MuseScore Drumline in the extension list and select Update.

    Uninstalling MuseScore Drumline
If at any time you wish to uninstall MuseScore Drumline, simply return to the Resource Manager, find MuseScore Drumline in the extension list and select Uninstall.

Minimal System Requirements - All Operating Systems
