I connect my computer and casio AP-658M piano with a USB double-ended data cable but it doesn't work

I opened the preferance settings page and clicked the audio&MIDI option,but the MIDI imput shown"no device" I can't imput any notes by using only the piano's keyboard. I have no idea if the cable doesn't work or my piano's issue.
