Managing parts
I recently discovered that MuseScore can open and work with GuitarPro files. This is delightful. These files open with sub tabs (parts) under the main tab for the score. While exploring these I came across one where the instrument is guitar. This staff/track shows up in the main instruments dialog without a linked tablature staff. However, when viewed in the parts tab which shows this instrument without the others, there IS a linked tablature staff. How can this be? I have looked thru the docs as best I can for information on how to add or delete the linked staff but have found no discussion on it. Can someone enlighten me please?
Thanks

I know Guitar Pro handles linked staves different than MuseScore does, and there was a conscious choice to allow imported files to behave more as Guitar Pro does than as MuseScore does. I don't think there are any controls to work with that special structure further, though. I could be wrong.
I can also observe the behavior with version 3.6.2. The TAB behaves like a linked staff. However, it is not possible to delete this line. Editing works indirectly via the first staff. I've attached an example. It would be desirable if the TAB line were displayed in the overview of the instruments.

It seems the guitar pro import results in the main score and the part being kind of switched around.
Switch to the "part" that has both the normal and the linked tablature staff and go to "File > Save As..." give it a new name.
Close the score and open the "saved as" version.
It should look as attached
