Percussion--How do you make a Tambourine sound?
I'm trying to enter a part that sounds like a tambourine, but all it gives me as a sound is a single click. What do I need to do to get the characteristic shaking sound of a tambourine?

You can put a long note, like a whole note, and then add a stemmed tremolo to it. That will make the sound. Then, if you don't want that tremolo symbol to be visible, you can click the tremolo and uncheck the "visible" checkbox in the inspector.
to make it sound like it's being shaken, use the tremolo 32nd or 16th through stem. If this is too separated you can put a pedal below the shake and make the pedal invisible to help make it sound like a constant shake.

Thank you, very much appreciated
use tuning.
Make one and set; then copy and paste.
I tried also to get that typical tambourine sound which has one percussive sound and one sound without attack. Easier to just listen to https://samplefocus.com/samples/tambourine
Changing velocity does the trick more or less see https://musescore.com/brnvrn/drum-tambourine
=> It would still be nice to have 2 tambourines sounds.
I searched for soundfonts with tambourine, there are some (https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/432) but not what I expected.

Thank You ! Works really well - best one. ☺️
How did you get A#4 shaker sound ?... it normally will not come up as a note in the Standard Drum set. I had to copy from your score to access it. I would like to access all of the extra percussion.

To add new notes/sounds to your drumset, click the Edit Drumset button in the drum palette. And see the Handbook under "Drum notation" for more info.
