Do tremolos ignore ties?

I want to write a tremolo over 3 bars. If I apply a tremolo only to the first note, it will not carry over onto the other notes, and if I apply it to every note, every note will be treated individually, causing very small pauses between notes.
Joining the measures would work if the time signature wasn't 12/8.

Is there a workaround/is this worthy to open as an issue?

I don't think it would be correct to have the tremolo applied after the tie. But, indeed, there is a very slightest audible effect with each note. The good news, I don't hear that in MuseScore 4.
