Repeat last BEAT sign in latest update ..
Hi ..I'm sure I've asked this same question in older versions of Musescore..but wondering if, in this new version Musescore 3, it's been made easier or available at all? Hmmm Just can't seem to click the right buttons etc to make that work!
Instead of having loads of the same patterns of notes..can you add a repeat beat slash (a bit like the repeat bar sign ..so it looks simpler on the eye whilst reading it?
I've written a few bars out to show what I mean!
Thanks in advance
Dave

I don't think I have ever seen notation like that, but perhaps I haven't looked in the right places.
However, in my experience that would very often be written as two note tremolos, either just for the second and later groups or for all of them including the first.

Hey Steve..I tried to add slash notation to fill the bar >tools > fill with slashes but they just covered the crotchet rests! Hmmm?

After entering the 4 semiquavers, can you just add the slashes to beats 2 and 3 some how? Am I missing something obvious! Lol! Maybe that just works in the jazz font? Dave

That's because you selected the whole bar, and MuseScore saw there were already notes in voice 1, so it moved on to voice 2. Instead, select just the empty beats.
This isn't supported for playback, but if that's important, you can add the notes in an invisible playback staff.
