percussion notation
I'm new to percussion editing. Attached is a short rhythm for the claves - it's for a music theory class, so the claves are not mandatory, any other percussion could do to teach rhythm.
Here are my two issues:
1. I want the note on the staff line, not below it
2. why are some of the notes' stems shorter than others?

Select the first measure. SHIFT + Select the last measure. Hit the up arrow until the notes are where you want.

Unfortunately nothing happens. Also tried with the transpose menu, it does not move.
Hi,
For the first problem:
1. Right click a measure > Edit Drumset
2. Select your note on the list > Change staff line to 0 > Apply
For the second problem, stems' length is different depending on double beaming / triple beaming etc. That's how engraving works in default settings.
If you don't want stems to be shorten:
1. Format Menu > Style > Notes
2. Uncheck "Shorten stems"
