Horn harmonics notation
Hello all,
I'm writing a horn sonata and a certain movement includes harmonics on the horn, meaning the player sings while they play. In writing I've come across a problem: how can I notate the singing line in concert pitch, while the horn stave is transposed? I do not wish to add a different stave solely for that line, it's a burden to read, in my view. I can also notate the line so that in reading it comes out in concert, but then the midi file won't be accurate (meaning for example, if the singing line is do-re-mi, I'll notate it "as is" on the horn stave and the midi will play concert fa-sol-la, since the stave is transposed). Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Since a horn player can either play or sing, might changing instruments help?
Voice and horn, both are sounding as a F major scale

They must sing and play simultaneously ;)

I am a horn player and I have no idea how to do this!
You can also write both notes on the horn staff and mute there the vocal notes.
In parallel, you can have a separate vocal staff that is not visible but still plays.
At least this works in MuS 3.6.2

Wouldn't it make more sense to notate both the harn note and the singing note as transposed. The player needs to "hear" the note before playing and it would be easier to relate the singing note to that internalised pitch if they use the same transposition.
You can write the harmonics to sound (midi) correctly, then use "fix to line" to move the notes without affecting their pitch.
