wood block trill?
Tried to use trill to get a quarter note roll on the wood block. Nothing much happened in playback. Just a couple clicks. Is there a better way? I did just paste in a bunch of 64th notes and that worked but eats up a lot of space.

Sounds great but doesn't work. From the directions:
"Click on a notehead in the score."
"Click on the desired tremolo symbol in the Tremolos palette."
I do that but nothing happens. See measure 3 wood block

Hmm...which tremolo symbol did you use?
I performed the same steps and see the attached result.
I have used the 64th tremolo:

The other tremolo's in the palet are between two notes, so could be the reason why nothing changed when selected.

Yup. Somehow I missed that in the instructions. How'd you know that? I tried all the wrong ones. Thanks a lot.
