I am using 3.7 which has bugfixes and enhancements over 3.6.2 and can be run alongside 3.6.2 if you want to retain the latest official release of version 3 as well.

It's easy to install but not obvious how if you're not familiar with the ways of Github.
The main 3.7 repository is here: https://github.com/Jojo-Schmitz/MuseScore
Jojo also works on MS4 so you need to pick the artifacts for 3.7 which corresponding to your OS.
