Auto Note Input - can't get it setup right
I have a Yamaha DGX 660, Musescore 4. I had Auto Note input working but it'ts been a while. Now it doesn't work.
I presume I need to get midi set up right, but not sure. Nothing of any value comes up with a search. The things that I find...when I follow the instruction, doesn't work, or something it says to choose isn't on the menus.
Any suggestions?

That's an older version of MsueScore, not MuseScore 4 at all. So first thing I'd suggest is updating, then you might find things just work. But if for some reason you're stuck on this version, try different settings for the top two boxes to see of they enable the MIDi input box to become enabled, because that's where you'll need to select your keyboard.

Ah! You arre right. For some reason I had thought I had 4. I guess it became available shortly after I had downloaded and installed.
Anyway, I downloaded 4. When I got into I/O in preferences, it shows an option for Grand Piano under Midi Output. I turned off the keyboard, and it disappeared, so that is correct. But...Midi Input is blank, ie. no device. When I press the down arrow, it does show the Grand Piano, but when I click on that, it does not load into the field.
I checked,d and Enable Midi is set on. I watche the tutorial video on Midi, and all seems done.
So, It apparently is seen, but still not loading for input.
BTW, in the 3.62 version, I tried mixing selections, but had no luck finding the keyboaard at all.
Other suggestions?

A driver problem of the OS?

Indeed, it does seem the midi input driver is not doing what it needs to do. Either the driver itself is bad, or the cable, or the keyboard. Seems very strange it would work well enough to show in the dropdown menu but not allow you to select it, Anyhow, see if you can update the driver.
