Musescore 4.1 Crashing on Windows 11
I have not been able to launch Musescore after its new update. When I try to launch, it shows the loading screen for 1-2 seconds and then suddenly goes off. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and had my computer checked out by IT, and they said everything is fine and up to date, so it would be a problem with Musescore itself... I can launch musehub on here, but that is it. My computer is an HP Notebook 15

If you use an external audio device, try disconnecting it.

No external audio device is plugged in or in use. Drivers are all updated.
[Update]7/15/2023
I fixed the issue by removing all audio devices and reverting to my built-in sound engine. I also changed the location of my sounds folder for Musescore and Musehub, which helped. Thanks
Carefully check the specification of your HP Notebook 15 against the minimum requirements for MuseScore 4 and for Muse Sounds:

Does your notebook have a hard disk or a solid state disk (SSD)?
It is probably not you. I had the same problem a few weeks ago but do not know how I fixed it. Reinstalling did not help. I think it is the latest Windows OS update. MuseScore worked fine two days ago and then Windows updated and I get the same thing. I cannot find a security setting that fixes the problem.
Found the solution by Googling the problem. A previous post here. Changed the sound card settings and problem solved.

Same with me. I got it to work by setting my soundcard to 16bit, 44kHz and direct mode. I have the SoundBlaster Z se. Anything else and looks like the sound engine crashes the application or something like that. 24 bit or 48-96k will not work. I think they have a bit of work to do.

Ok. It looks like that helped. I reset the sound engine to the default one that came with the computer and removed all other audio devices for now until I can figure it out. I also moved all of my sounds from Musescore since they weren't able to open, but now they can function again. I assume since I just updated my computer and Musescore came out with an update, there was some incompatibility. Any time I go into Musescore, I have to change my audio device so it is a bit inconvenient but not to the point where I won't use it. Thank so much for helping!

What audio devices did you remove?
