Enter the same lyrics over multiple notes

Is it possible to enter the lyrics over several notes? I am doing a lot of A Cappella stuff with repetitive lyrics like bm, ooo, ah, etc.

If I understand your question correctly, you want a melisma, where the singer starts on one note and continues singing the same syllable over multiple following notes. It turns out to be easy:

  1. Enter lyrics mode (on Mac, Command-L, probably Control-L on Windows)
  2. Type the start of the syllable (Mmm, ooo, etc.)
  3. Type an underscore for each note over which the syllable continues. This results in a low line for the duration of the melisma.
  4. If the melisma is a multiple-syllable word, like "Gloria," where "Glo" continues over multiple notes, as in "Angels We Have Heard on High", you can type hyphens for each of the notes over which the syllable continues, resulting in a line of hyphens until the next syllable.
  5. At the end of the word, type a space to finish it

As @TheHutch says, you'll just have to enter each "bm" or "doo" or "ooo" as a separate word. There's not (yet, anyway) a way to enter the word once and have it apply to a bunch of notes. That would be something that someone might make a plug-in for, but I rather doubt it exists.

Type the sound (e.g. bm) once followed by a white space in a simple text editor (notepad will do).
Repeat the following sequences 6 times to get 64 of them:
CTRL-A CTRL-C END CTRL-V
Then do a last copy all, and paste it as lyrics in MuseScore.
Done.
