thanks.

Hopefully a Sonoma user will respond.
As I understand it, Sonoma can be a heaver user of system resources than older OS's. This might be part of the problem. A system that doesn't quite match up to the specs needed to run MU4, might have problems after the upgrade to Sonoma. But everyone's system is different.

Don't know if you saw my comment below, but I installed Sonoma and MuseScore 4 and MuseHub works great with it. The only difference I can see is the new OS actually asks you if it's ok for MuseScore to use other apps, namely MuseHub. It's an extra click, but keeps things separated. I like it.

Don't worry, I have Sonoma 14.1.2 and both MuseScore and Muse Sounds work very well!
(Sorry but I'm Italian and I don't know the English language).

Update from MuseScore 4.1.1 (which wouldn't launch either) to 4.2.0 today. No change.
It just bounces a few times in the dock and then unexpectedly quits. So no, if you really need Musescore, do not upgrade to Mac OS Sonoma...

Runs, but will never quit gracefully. Crashes every time I exit, even with no scores open.

And never, ever saves palette preferences, even with a custom workspace.

Works, but kind of annoying as of Feb 18th 2024

Was a brand new install on a brand new Mac. Not an upgrade to Sonoma, never had Musescore 3 installed on this Mac.

Sonoma 14.1.1
Musescore 4.2.1240
MuseHub 1.0.1
Apple M3 Max Processor
