How to group some notes closer together than others
Hey all,
When writing some free chant, I would like to be able to group notes closer together that are part of the same word. I know this is possible in Sibelius. For example, see the attached photo. I would like notes 2, 3 and 4, since they are part of the same word, to be grouped closer together, with a greater space between notes 1 and 2, and 4 and 5. This is not a triplet, but this concept would make the score easier to read with stemless chant. Thank you!

pls try adjusting Properties>Appearance>leading space
edit: jus t tried on a score, reducing leading space creates unwanted overlapping of lyrics, increasing leading space seems fine

Could you be more specific about this please? There are multiple "properties" and I don't see leading space in any of them. Under the "inspector" there is a leading space but it adjusts the entire measure, which is not what I want

Select these two notes (not the first note, not the whole measure - it's just those two notes you want to move in this case), go to the Properties tab, press the Appearance button and adjust the leading space:

Clearly I have an old version because this doesn't look at all like my page and there is no properties tab. Let me download the newest version and try this. Thank you so much

Ah, brilliant. The new version solved this. Thank you
