Lots of problems with musescore 4
Hi!
I just uploaded ms4 and have huge problems.
Maybe someone can help me?
- I want to give dynamic signs like f/p unique(!) positions like in ms3, see jpg-file a.
But I cannot find where. - Even when I deactivate the automatic positioning of dynamic signs, the slightest change in the position of one sign can change the whole position of the notation on the page. But that should not happen!
- I can not click on the pedal signs of files from ms3 that I open in ms4, I can only do that when I enlarge the file to a ridiculous size (pedal sign see jpg-file "b").
So far not a fan...

Pictures don't help us as much as a score does.
In the View tab, make sure Properties is selected. Select the dynamic and select Appearance. The controls you seek are there.
That shouldn't happen. And doesn't on my system. You can even drag them around.
I just did this with no problem.
So please post a score that does this.

I found now where I can change that manually/individually.
Well, the problem was on my side then (she grudgingly admitted).
But when I change the position of a p-sign, the notation still does a slight change. Only once, and then no more when I change the position again. That is a bit weird.
Concerning pedal:

I can click f. ex. on the first invisible pedal sign, but not on the next one. Also I cannot choose (by right mouseclick) all pedal signs to delete them.
Maybe there is also a simple solution...?

Go to View>Show>select show invisible. Then right click on one marking. Then Select>Similar.

I deactivated invisibility and now I can work with the right mouseclick. Alright, so in ms4 I can not (or just with difficulties) change signs made invisible. That's a bit annoying but I will adapt.

Any time I change a dynamic sign, it is highly likely that the notation on the page moves. Noticably. Although I disabled the automatic positioning.
Another weird thing:
How the top of the page looks when I save it: 1.jpg
How the top of the page looks when I open it again: 2. jpg
i have been using ms3 a long time and never had such problems.
So I am back to ms3. I guess.

I can't reproduce the dynamic problem using your score. I have changed the size and location of dynamics and there is no effect on notation. Also, per your first page problem, pleas open this and see if the spacing is more what you want. On my system, I changed it saved, closed and re-opened it and the spacing remained as I had set it.
Sorry to piggyback when I don't have solutions, but I'm having these problems too PLUS MS crashes when I open files directly from Finder instead of opening the app and then selecting it. Gets annoying after a while. Thinking I will roll back versions if I can.

You'll have better luck posting a separate thread for the Finder problem. I'm not a Mac person.
