Repeat
I cannot get the repeat to work in the attached .mscz file. I have tried everything I can think of (i.e., removed the Coda Fine D.S. al Fine, used Lines to add 1. and 2. repeat). I constructed this arrangement from 2 MIDI files and a PDF converted to an. mxl using Audiveris. The base arrangement was one of the MIDI files. To this file I made all of the modifications (i.e., copy and paste measures from the various files). In the past, I have done this and noticed that it seemed like there were dynamics built into the MIDI file that I did not know how to control. It didn't matter since the final product I want is the sheet music that I can print out as individual parts. The same is true here. The sheet music is all I need. But I am curious to know what happens! It seems like there is a measure property, that is somehow assigned in the MIDI file, that I cannot control.
Thanks,
Nick

You have play count 3 in bar 23. If that's what you intended then it repeats fine for me with Musescore 3.7 Evolution.

On my system (Windows 11 MuseScore 3.6.2), the repeats were playing as they should.
I noticed, that the repeat in bar 23, are played 3x.
Rightclick bar 23 > Bar properties > Play count 3

I am using version 3.6. I also have version 4. I tried it there and It works in 4. I use version 3 since it has features that make working with many files at the same time very easy (multiple tabs instead of multiple windows). I also like the VIEW - Document Side by Side. So, I will download version 3.7 since you said it works in it. Thank you for your response, Nick

It is played correctly in MuS 3.6.2!
Have you activated the "Play repeats" button?

Boy, do I feel dumb. I must have deactivated the "Play repeats" button by mistake and not noticed it.
Thank You,
Nick

To avoid such things in the future, you could also remove this button from the toolbar.
View -> Toolbars -> Customize toolbars... and remove this button there. It can be brought back in the same way. However, make sure that it was activated beforehand.
As you can see in my picture, I have removed the "MIDI Input" function and added the "Count-In" button instead.
