Desktop app crashing any time I disconnect my bluetooth headphones
I have been dealing with the app crashing for the past month or so and I just figured out that it is crashing every time I turn off my headphones. I have my I/O audio settings set to system default right now. Is there something I can do to make it not crash when my headphones disconnect. It's inconvenient and I lost 3 weeks of work on a project because of this (file corrupted, irrecoverable).

I don't think so. As I understand it, when connected, your BT headphones become the system wide audio device. In Windows, go to Control panel/sound/select your headphones/Advanced. If you make any changes here a warning will popup that says that any programs using that device might stop working. So when you disconnect the system audio device, MU4 will stop.
Same happening here. Just bought a pair of Sony bluetooth headphones. When using Windows (11) app, Musescore crashes EVERY time I either switch off the headphones or I switch off bluetooth.

So don't disconnect anything with MU4 running. Sibelius will do something similar. It's not just bluetooth. Wired will stop also.

Thanks. Yes, that would be the obvious solution. It's just that this is not the behaviour that you'd expect. There's no other program that I use that crashes when I disconnect a head-set.
