Playback does not work at all
I have tried to start the playback after I updated to Musescore 4.4.2 . Now it just does not want to work at all. What can I do to have it working like in my previous version. I have checked my pc sound settings etc. No problems there. Please help.

Try a restart of your computer and a reset of MuseScore.

Thanks. I have done that but it still does not work.
Check if the instrument sounds are blank in the mixer, and if you still have Muse Sounds installed. Press F10 or go to View, show Mixer.

I'm having the same problem with playback no longer working after these MuseScore updates. And I don't understand this so-called solution, It is way too vague vague. Why is updating MuseScore suddenly causing such catastrophic failures in the program functions? I'm starting to really HATE MuseScore.

I notice that when I input a note, the mixer acts like a sound is being made, yet I hear nothing. My speakers are on, they are not muted. How can I get these note to actually sound when I place them?

Are you on Windows 10/11 or a different operating system?
