How can I add space between a measure bar and first entry?
How can I add space/distance between a measure bar and first notes, symbols, fingerings, etc.?
Kindly see attached for an example.

From the Style menu, select General. (Alt+S, Enter)
In the pop-up "Style Edit" window, click "Menu" in the options on the left. (Or press the down-arrow key four times on your keyboard.)
And, take a look at the options on the right.

"Style" menu -> General -> Measure -> increase the value of the third item ("barline to note distance"), eg 2.00sp instead of the 1.20 default
Result: MS question2.mscz
However, you note (I was concerned by the same question due to many fingerings to the left of noteheads), this setting is not efficient of course for the first measures (of staves/system)
Eg: MS question3.mscz
So, here, do: Style menu -> General -> Measure -> increase the value of "Clef/key right margin", eg 2.70 instead of 1.75 default.
Result: MS question4.mscz
Alternatively, for piano music, and with the first default setting (1.20), you can use a plugin ( https://musescore.org/en/project/fixfingering) that allows to stack the fingerings above the notes.
Result: MS question_5 fix.mscz

The settings in Style / General / Measure will affect the entire score. Most liekly you don't want that - only to create more space for the particular chords where fingerings require extra space. For that, select a note in the chord then use either the "Extra leading space" or the "Chord / Horizontal offset" setting in the Inspector. The former is the way to go if you need notes on other staves to also move in order to stay aligned; the latter will affect this chord only.

Indeed, that's what I do sometimes; this is an alternative to case by case as you said, for fingerings or accidentals eg. But apart from that, my experience when fingerings (guitar, yes) are located to the left of the noteheads, this implies that the default values in General / Measure are never adequate.
And so it is more comfortable (and nice) for the layout to keep a "breathing" after the barlines or the time sig. So, we have the choice, depending the context.

Thanks, Marc! You are correct in that I want to be able to do this on a measure by measure basis rather than the whole score, but, then again, knowing how to have it affect the whole score I am sure will come in handy some day.
Also, thanks for mentioning a way to influence other staves because I would have wanted such alignment but did not think to ask how to do it. You therefore anticipated what my follow-up question would have had to be!
