3 String Tabulature for Mountain Dulcimer
Is there a possibility to add more Instruments?
I want to write Tabulature for Mountain Dulcimers wich have 4 Strings, Bass, Middle and a double Trebble String Set. Mostly tuned DAD, DAA or DAC
I tried to take a Ukulele Tabulature and
- deletet one String and
- changed the Tunings of the 3 others.
But it didnbt work. :-(
How can new Instruments be added?

You need to tell the range of the instruements and the normal tuning of the strings so they can be defined for the Tablature.
One problem with the tablature is that it is not possible to use 1/2 fret marks in the tablature so a true tablature is not currently possible for a Mountain Dulcimer in MuseScore. MuseScore also assumes that fret 1 is 1/2 step above the open string, while in a dulcimer tablature it means a whole step above the string. I suggested in previous discussions to make changes that would allow for dulcimer tablatures, but I don't think it went anywhere.

Do you have an image (or pdf) of the score you want to write?
If not too long, there is probably some workarounds to achieve your goal (depends also the wished result, ie with good playback, or not: only the correct display)
