To avoid copying out all the notes from musescore to Cubase is there simple way to move it all across from one to the other that saves time and keeps it in order

If your version of Cubase supports it (the current version does), then your best bet is to export from MuseScore as a MusicXML file and import that into Cubase. However, it's worth noting that there are some limitations (see https://steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artist/v9/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/mid…), so how well that would work will depend on your needs. I haven't used Cubase for years but I do this frequently to and from MuseScore and Reaper (my DAW of choice these days), and it works very well.

If exporting as MusicXML and importing into Cubase does not work well due to limitations in Cubase's MusicXML support, you could always resort to MIDI. That is usually even more limited because MIDI was never designed for notation, but between MusicXML and MIDI, hopefully Cubase can work with one or the other.
