Data lost
Hi
Im new to Musescore and spent a number of hours putting together a piece which I saved and also did save as and when asked if I wanted to replace a file - I clicked on YES. I did this to ensure it was saved.
However on opening it today ...it is completely blank. I checked on the forum, have looked in Command prompt for any files saved elsewhere under tmp or mscz or mscx and I've looked everywhere for any files from that evening I was working on it. However looking at the time this was saved - it is clear this must be the file...but where is it all gone?
PLease help. Im working on windows 10 and using MuseScore2.
Also found this other one as well as a temporary file....followed the instructions and saved with a different name.
Incidently - it looks nothing like the page I was using.
WHere did I go wrong?
Thank you for any help you can give....cannot face doing it again.

Only thing I can guess is that you actually saved to a different folder than the one you are looking in. Best to do a full search of your entire hard drive for files with the extension "MSCZ". Take advantage of the facilities built in to your OS (Windows, macOS, or Linux) to be sure literally every single folder gets searched.

Look for hidden files also there should be a ".cant help.mscz," file on your disk also. It starts with . and ends with ,
It will not be the final file you saved, but should have at least part of it if there is no other file.
