How do I make staves exactly 8.5 mm from bottom to top?
MOLA says that's the standard, but I'm not quite sure how to get it. Style somewhere? I'm more or less going to use MS3 from now on, but I'm sure 2.3.2 directions will help.

Algebra for the correct spacing, really?
x = 8.5/4 - 5.08x
x(1 - 5.08) = 8.5/4 = 2.125
x = (8.5/4)/(1 + 5*.08) = 1.5178... mm
That's specifically for a part. Looks right.

And you probably told your mom you didn't need to learn algebra. 😉
And of course, I find a newer MOLA publication that says 7.5mm is desirable, and nothing bigger than 8.5 is acceptable, so let's algebra again.
The line is set to Staff line thickness = .08 sp
x = 7.5/4 - 5.08x
x(1 - 5.08) = 7.5/4 = 1.875
x = (7.5/4)/(1 + 5.08) = 1.339 mm
For a 7.5 mm staff.
