Big Blue Flag

I'm writing a guitar part with linked tab & guitar staff. I've hit something and two big flags have appeared. the first is at the beginning of bar 1, the second is at bar 32. the whole piece has 54 bars. Can someone tell what the flags signify and also how to delete them?...thanks.
