mystery double bar lines and doubled time signatures

OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.2.5315, revision: a8b90a8
I am slightly re-arranging some sax parts for a tune. There are several instances of 4/4 to 2/4 & back to 4/4. Before and after each of those occurrences, I have placed a double bar in the main score. However when going to parts the double bar lines are not there.
As another oddity in the parts the 2/4 and 4/4 time signatures have doubled themselves and when I delete one of them, it messes up the part. (eg bars 37 and 38 in Alto sax 1)
Oh yes, when attempting to delete one of the time signatures just now, the programme just shut itself down.
Any help gratefully received.

The problem seems fixed in version 3.0.3 which was released today, but there are two things to consider. Some people have problems with it claiming to shut down unexpectedly when they close it and older scores have their sounds revert to piano sound. If either of these is a deal breaker for you, wait a few days for the next update that will fix playback. Once you upgrade, opening the score does not automatically fix the problem, you need to select the first of the double key signature and double click the same one from the palette.

The missing double bars in parts is a known issue I sadly don't have time to look up right now. The work around is to not create parts until the barlines are entered, and then they will show up in the parts.

Your recommended fix (for the doubled time sig) sadly didn't work and as you predicted, the programme then crashed. Error report filled in.

Not sure what workaround you mean, no workaround is needed in 3.0.3 or 3.0.4 to avoid the double time sig. Just open the file and it's fine already.

When I opened a pre-3.0.3 score in 3.0.3 it still had the double time signature. I selected the first time signature and double clicked the same on in the palette and only one showed. That would be the workaround mentioned.

Could be that other scores have this, but the one attached here doesn't, not that I could see anyhow.

It seems, my workaround doesn't always work for some reason.
