MuseScore 3.0.5 64 bit will not install on Windows 10 Build 10.0.17134.648 Version 1803
Downloaded MuseScore-3.0.5-x86_64.msi and tried to install. When it asked for the installation folder I clicke ok to accept the default C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\ an error window pops up telling me that the installation directory must be on a local hard drive. The C: drive IS a local hard drive.

Maybe the folder you downloaded to is not? Or maybe C:\Program Files is a shortcut to another drive?

Neither of your suggestions is true. All my other 64 bit programs have installed to C:\Program Files with no problem.

The error that pops up is, as far as I know, something that comes from the Windows installer itself, not from MuseScore. So somehow Windows seems to be confused, could be worth asking for help on a Windows troubleshooting type of forum.
