Unable to recover session (corrupted file)
As I was working on a new composition, Musescore unexpectedly crashed. When prompted to recover the session, I selected "Yes", but Musescore again crashed. I'm assuming I'm out of luck, since I didn't save the score. What should I do?

I'm using Musescore 2.3.2 and Windows 10

By default MuseScore attempts to autosave every two minutes. If you had not saved your work yet, there may be a temp file that was created with an assigned group of characters in lieu of a filename. If you search your directory for *.mscx or *.mscz you may find something.
Typically, backup files begin with a period, and end with a comma. (.filename.mscx,)
Also, check the info in here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/recovered-files

The thing is, I never assigned the score a filename, therefore making the search more difficult.

If you didn't turn off autosave then there is a sc*.mscz file that was created 2 minutes after the score was started. Check out https://musescore.org/en/node/52116 for info.

That's ok. MuseScore will still use the file extensions of .mscx or .mscz
If there is a temp file, it will have one of those extensions.

Okay after scouring my directory, I found the backup file. However, I'm unable to open it (like I said, it's corrupted). What next?
