Missing Score!
Hi,
I wrote out a beautiful score and then I think the program crashed and now my music is gasp gone! Help!

Yes. It was saved, reopened, and has now vanished.

Then the score is still there on your computer. Look for it through your file manager.

If you saved it, I promise it is there. Do you remember the name of the folder you saved to? If not, then you may need to broaded your search parameters, searching the entire hard drive, the entire computer, including hidden folders, etc.

Hi Marc,
So - here's the thing. When Musescore crashes and you reopen it, you're given the option to restore the session. Once restored, the files you were working on are recovered but now have these weird files names (ex. scL17282). The original file, even though it WAS SAVED, seems to disappear and be replaced with this "recovered file." BUT these recovered files aren't saved in Musescore's "Scores" folder and don't show up in a spotlight search.

True, after a crash, if you recover the previous session, you are given a copy of the original, so if you then don't pay attention to where you save this copy, it can end up in a place you'd not likely think to look. Details vary according to OS. I guess you are on macOS, so I can't really advise much, but see https://musescore.org/en/node/52116, and in particular the final section.
