I cannot access the Start Center ever since I downloaded the newest update
HELP! I have 5 score in the “new” MuseScore in a completely uneditable mode. I have signed up for the Free Trial so my 6 scores are saved in MUSESCORE.org. But what happened to the Start Center? I have not been able to find it. I cannot get to ANY of the links that supposedly open when you download MUSESCORE.

Go to Edit -> Preferences. Tick "Show start center".
There is no free trial on museScore.org it on musescore.com. I suggest you cancel it now if you don't intend to pay for it later, it has nothing to do with how the program functions. The start center is probably off the screen. See https://musescore.org/en/node/287862 for some ideas on how to get your start center back.

Mike, I signed up for the 1 month trial. I don’t mind paying for it! I just can’t find the regular start section. Anywhere!

See the link I posted above to recovering your missing window.
As long as you realize the Pro account is essentially to allow you to store more scores online and downloads score, then by all means keep your account, I have one myself. I don't want you to think it will affect the program's abilities in any way. I see too many people in these forums not understanding what they are paying for.

Mike, here are my concerns:
I have 6 scores I do not want to lose. I would also like to edit them.
When I download #2, there is no place to sign in and as my scores were deleted from my desk top when I upgraded, they are saved is .org in “final” form. Please let me know if there is any way to get my scores back without having to pay for something I don’t want or need. I don’t have the time to re-enter these again!
THANK YOU for your help!!

The scores are still on your computer in the same folder as they have always been. If you open version 2, you will still see them since it will continue to look in the same spot. If you open version 3, then navigate to the same folder using the file->open menu option you will see them. When you open the scores, you will be given an option to reset the edits you have done. I suggest that you answer yes, then save the scores, and they will be put into the version location for scores, the version 2 score will remain untouched. If saving the score asks if you want to overwrite it, you have made an error. There is no need to pay any money to be able to keep your scores. They are not saved on .org, they are saved on musescore.com where you currently have 5 scores saved.

Mike, bless you, but my songs are now only on version 3, they are no longer saved in 2. Believe me, they're not there. Is there ANY way to get them off of 3 and back into 2? If not, I will lose them when I cancel my paid subscription. This update did not say it was changing the entire game and I'm so discouraged. All I want to do is (hopefully) be able to edit my songs. They are not in the File. in 2. Only in 3 - and no edit possible there.

I know what I'm talking about. Unless you went into your add and delete programs, version 2 is still there. Even if you did that, the scores are still there unless you then went into the folders where they are and deleted them. I don't believe you did either of these things or you would have told me by now.

@cheryl_lynn....
What operating system do you have (e.g., Windows) ?
What version of MuseScore is installed on your computer (e.g., MuseScore 3 )?
If MuseScore 3, try using this file:
LAUDATE_DOMINUM_5.mscz
If MuseScore 2, try using this file:
LAUDATE_DOMINUM_5.mxl
Both those files were downloaded from:
https://musescore.com/user/17317786/scores/5662813
MuseScore.com holds the files you uploaded to:
https://musescore.com/user/17317786
Your computer hard drive holds files you created and saved using the MuseScore music notation program (which should exist on your computer).

I appreciate you trying to help me. I have Windows. I've been able to get to these pages. I see them on Score Manager in 3 (there is nothing left in version 2). There does not seem to be an access to a "start" from version 3. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I someone can direct me to the editing page for these scores , that's all I will need to do.
I'm sorry I'm taking so much time with this~

when I hit F4 it returns me to the dashboard which doesn't help me at all.

OK....
You have Windows and MuseScore 3.
So what happens when you double click on the file I posted above titled "LAUDATE_DOMINUM_5.mscz"?
Notice the prompt that appears asking whether to open or save the file. It should look like this:
Do you see it? If you do, press 'Open' and the score should open so you can edit it.
What makes you say you can't edit your scores? You don't need the Start Center to edit a score - just open it directly from File / Open.
That said, to get to the Start Center in MuseScore 3, just go to File / Start Center or press F4. If it does not appear to show up, probably it has accidentally been moved offscreen. Best to do Help / Revert to Factory Settings.

I am having the same thing happen that has happened all along. When I click on the icon on my screen, the "pages" look like they are quickly disappearing off the page. When I clicked your links, I am unable to open them. OR I get to the page where I can see them (https://musescore.com/user/17317786) but there is no File, or Start Center. F4 takes me out of the site completely. I can't even find a factory reset or Help.
This is beyond me. If I cancel my MuseScore3 I assume I will completely lose my scores~

It takes me to my score. I am able to get to that page. But there is no File, or Start or edit option . I right clicked, saved it to my desktop, and wasn't even able to attach it in Choose a file/drag & drop below, THIS is what appears in the "address" up top: https://musescore.com/user/17317786/scores/5662813, If there is an Edit option, I just cannot locate it

What precisely did you right click? What exactly is saved to your desktop?

What's the exact name of the score that opened in 2?

Hmm. I apologize if this sounds dumb or wrong, but from what I can tell, you aren't actually running MuseScore 3 at all. When you talk about things like "free trials" and the "dashboard" and not being able to to find the File or Help menu - this all tells me you aren't looking at MuseScore at all (the program that installs and runs on your computer), but are intstead talking about viewing the musescore.com website in your web browser. You need to leave your web browser and actually run MuseScore 3 itself, which is not a web site, but a program installed on your computer - assuming you have in fact installed it.
If you minimize your web browser and look at your desktop, do you see one or more icons labeled "MuseScore"? Is there both a "MuseScore 2" and a "MuseScore 3" icon? If there is a MuseScore 3 icon, try double-clicking on it. If not, I think you need to install it - from this web page here, click above where it says Download then follow the instructions. Merely having signed up for the free trial of the musescore.com website has absolutely nothing to do with actually installing MuseScore 3on your computer.
At this point, I'm like 60% sure that's what happened - you signed up for the free trial of the musescore.com website, but never actually installed MuseScore 3 onto your computer.

Marc, The Free Trial was for version 2 which I successfully used until my computer told me to install the next version (3). I had no idea it wasn't the same program. So I have BOTH on my computer. I have taken one off, tried the other over and over. No, MuseScore IS on my computer.

There is no free trial for MuseScore 2, nor is there one for MuseScore 3. Both programs are 100% completely free forever. The free trial is for the msuescore.com website.
So, forget the free trial of the musescore.com website here - it has absolutely bnothing to do with MuseScore 2 or with MuseScore 3. You say you have MuseScore 3 installed. So fine, run it by double-clicking its program icon. Now look at the top of the screen. You should see a menu consisting of File, Edit, View, Add, Format, Tools, Plugins, Help. What happens when you click File, then Start Center?

THIS time everything worked! Marc, I have no idea what is different. But I guess I'm back in business! I am so grateful to you and to my other partner in crime helping me resolve this. You guys are amazing. I found my files in some strange place that had a star next to it. I have no idea what that is, but hopefully I'm able to find them again.
THANK YOU, FROM MY HEART
