https://musescore.org/en/project/check-harmony-rules is suposed to do this. There is also https://musescore.org/en/project/check-parallel-fifths-and-octaves which has been ported to version 3.
Hi, i think Check Harmony Rules is a good plugin, but it don't verify most aspects of Fux Counterpoint. I'm working on a plugin that verify a lot of aspects of counterpoint, in all species. It's in progress yet, but soon i will upload a version to plugins repository.
Unfortunately, it isn't in English. Below i put a preview image.

Ciao Rogerio, have you made any progress on the plugin? I'm looking for an alternative to the Ars Nova Counterpointer program, which is expensive and not even available as a demo. Thanks.

yes and now currently unavailable and as you say too expensive and a review on amazon.com
suggested not good well formed software either.

Hi, I hope I'll upload a version of the plugin this week. It is only to check two voices counterpoint, on five species, for while. Later, I'll try to expand it to the 'free counterpoint' and more voices.
