I am curious about the original source and context. To use in this way would not actually be correct according to modern notation standards.
I would not suggest trying to recreate it simply for the purposes of historical reproduction as it could have potential for confusion among current performers. It would be better to simply break down what the actual intent is and write with the best and clearest way to communicate this according to modern notation practices that are broadly adopted and more universally understood.
