Soprano Saxophone Pitch
In the different keys, for example G major, the soprano saxophone pitches notes 'A flat 4' and 'A natural 4' an octave too high, all other notes being correctly pitched. Does anyone know why this should be, and is there a way to correct this problem? Solutions will be gratefully received.
Thank you

Can you attach a sample score (.mscz file) showing this? It is correct when I create a new score.
I can guess you have a score for some other instrument, then you generated parts, then you tried to change the instrument in the part. That won't work, it leads to error like what you describe. The instrument in the score and the part have to match. So if that's what happened, delete the part, change the instrument in the score, and regenerate the part. If that's not it, then as mentioned, please attach the score so we can see what you mean.

It may have been a computer blip, because after rebooting the problem has gone away. I have done many scores previously without ever having this problem. Thank you Marc for the prompt reply.

Or it is designed to be truly realistic and attempt to reflect how most soprano sax players would actually play it. :)

Fortunately it seems to have corrected itself with little effort from me. Are you a sax player?
