Playback not respecting dynamics on certain channels in expressive strings?
In mm 1-6 of the attached example file, I have Vln II and Vla marked pianissimo (velocity = 33), but they seem to be playing back at vel = 80. To test, I repeat the section with the Vln II and Vla at fortissimo (vel = 112) in mm 7-12, but can't observe any difference in the playback volume. However, the pizzicato channel (in the Cel and Cb parts), which goes from mezzo piano in mm 1-6 to fortississimo in mm 7-12, definitely has a noticeable difference in volume.
Similarly, the tremolo channel in Vln I & II in mm 13+ doesn't seem to respect the dynamic marking when played at pp or fff.
This score was originally created in an earlier Musescore version, and I had made lots of adjustments to individual note velocities. I've followed the instructions at https://musescore.org/en/node/290616 and https://musescore.org/en/node/277424.
What have I missed?

See my reply in https://musescore.org/en/node/298372. Can you share more details about when/how the score was originally created? I see a number of non-standard things about it as described in that other thread.

Thanks, Marc. (It amazes me you reply to so many of these threads yourself. Thanks for making the world a better place with Musescore, BTW.)
I don't remember messing around with MIDI settings intentionally, but it's possible I stumbled upon them trying to get the playback levels where I wanted them. It's been a couple of years since I first created the file (say December '17 or January '18 with the then-current version of Musescore.) I did note entry from scratch in step-time, instrument by instrument, with a basic MIDI keyboard controller.
I'm not sure where to look to see the non-standard MIDI channel info you're seeing. It might jog my memory to look at it if you can point me in the right direction. And if there's a way for me to clear that data out and see what happens...

Thanks for the kind words!
I saw the channel info by opening the MSCX file within the MSCZ archive, using a text editor. I don't see equivalent tags in a score created from scratch. I have no idea if it's relevant or not - again, I am not really familiar with the synthesizer / MIDI implementation at all.
