How to notate random notes
Hi everyone,
I am writing a piano reduction of an orchestral score, and I need to have it ready by the end of this week.
The piece ends with a bass drum hit, which I wanted to translate in the piano score as hitting random notes at the same time in the low register.
Does anyone know what's the most common way to score this using modern notation, and how could I do it in MuseScore?
Thanks!

Yes, that's a typical method. Symbols for that can be found in the "Symbols" palette (press "Z" to display).

I actually ended up finding that solution. Anyway, thanks everyone for the reply!
There are 2 "random" plugins. i can't remember where I found them, but i recall running them in MuseScore3
random.qml random2.qml

Good morning mate!
Could you guide me how this plugin is applied and what it does in the score?
Much obliged...

Those are tech demo plugins for other plugin writers. They don't apply to a score, but generate new random scores. They have no relation to the topic at hand and offer no solution to the asked question.
As for how to enable and run plugins, see the handbook: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins
