Today we are pleased to announce the release candidate for MuseScore 3. Since the first beta release less than a month ago, we have resolved over 200 issues. Now, with all the most critical bugs fixed, we have produced one final pre-release build for testing. If no additional critical issues are confirmed, we will release MuseScore 3 on December 24!

Today we are pleased to announce the release of MuseScore 3 Beta Update (December 14, 2018). Users have continued providing valuable feedback, and we have continued our torrid pace of fixing bugs with over 70 issues resolved in the past 7 days since the previous update! This release also brings some significant improvements to the automatic placement algorithms that should greatly reduce the number of times you need to override its decisions.

FYI, processing scores on server was broken with 3.4 update. We had to create separate branch with the hotfix from pr #5639 (thanks to Howard!). Now, we are preparing hotfix update 3.4.1 and going to roll out it later today to prevent further bug reports asap

We decided to revert the changes to the MuseScore_General soundfont due to the regressions.

Current soundfont version is 0.1.6.
