MuseScore på dansk - MuseScore in Danish
Is there anyone who can make the MuseScore in Danish?
Er der nogen som kan lave MuseScore på dansk.
There must be a GNU GPL programør out there who can make it.
Der må være en GNU GPL programør derude et sted der kan lave det.
MuseScore is a great program even for beginners.
MuseScore er et fantastisk program selv for nybegyndere.

Hi swolff,
It's really easy to get started with translation MuseScore
That's all you need to get started. Once you have a few strings translated, upload them in a post on this translation forum and we'll make sure it gets committed.
In case you rather would like to translate the website, instead of the software, let me know. MuseScore.org can be setup to Danish in a matter of minutes. Translating the 5 menu pages is done in 1 hour.

That's perfect swolff! I added your updated ts file to the MuseScore repository so once there is a new prerelease, it will include Danish. Normally every 2 weeks there is a new Windows prerelease which you can download at http://prereleases.musescore.org
Every now and then, new strings are introduced in the MuseScore software so it is important to check on the latest ts file which you can find at https://mscore.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mscore/trunk/mscore/share/lo…
Concerning the website, I'm preparing the Danish interface. I will post the translation instructions in another comment.
Anyhow, keep up the good work! Lot's of people from Denmark will benefit from your work.

Committed to the repository. You can take some time before uploading it to the forum.
Thanks for the string translations, I applied them to http://musescore.org/da

Hi swolff,
I enabled the da interface for musescore.org: http://musescore.org/da
First some stand alone text strings need to be translated:
Can you provide the translation in a comment for each one of these strings?
The first page to start translating is the musescore teaser page.
You can translate this page following these instructions. After this page, you can translate the 5 menu pages in the right sidebar (download, features, screenshots, development, links) in the exact same way.
Once this is all done, we can proceed with translating the handbook, but be aware that keeping the handbook up to date, i.e. keeping it in sync with the English translation, requires some dedication.
Don't hesitate to leave a comment if you have problems with anything.

Hi Swolff,
Perhaps you didn't find the time yet to start translating, but could you perhaps simply translate the teaser page? This way, users who land on http://musescore.org/da can read what musescore is about in Danish.
I you can't find the time in the coming days/weeks, let me know because it's better to switch off the Danish translation of the website, until you have found the time.
Thanks.

Hi Swolff,
Thanks for the translation. However, it wasn't necessary to put it in a comment. There is an online translation workflow which makes it very easy to translate the content. Here are the step by step instructions for translating the teaser page page. It's exactly the same for the other pages in the right sidebar menu.
You can do the same for the features, screenshots, development and the links page. The handbook page is for when this is done.
Thanks!

I dont think I have done it the right way.
Please look and make changes if it is not right.

Indeed, you did almost everything the right way but all the html markup (text between < and >) has to remain. I added the html markup in the teaser again so it looks good again. I will have to adjust my 'step by step' instructions a little more. Thanks!

Yes, there is a Danish version. In fact, all languages are included in MuseScore. Here is how you can switch the language in MuseScore: http://musescore.org/node/12678
