convert clef staff to TAB ?
I have a 10-20 measure gp5 file that opens & plays in MuseScore just fine. It is in G clef format.
Is there a way to have MuseScore automatically present/show/display/convert it to 6 string guitar TAB?

First, when you inport a gp file, there is a part (tab) which displays both standard notation and TAB.
In the main score, for convert the standard staff in Tab staff, you have only to do: press "I" -> in the right column, change the staff type -> Ok, that's all.

1) not in the gp5 as I import it.
2) Yes, I can convert std staff to TAB via the "I" panel. BUT, the treble clef remains, now on a 6 line staff - err, ummm, weird .
3) and yes (again), I can change the treble clef to a TAB. Hmmmm - I guess this is a step forward.

Sometimes nda like something went wrong with that particular score. If you would like help, please post the specific GP file you are having trouble with so we can investigate.
See Change staff type .
