beam properties issue
dear all,
i imported a .xml and i wish to make the beaming as in the picture.
I tried dragging the beaming onto the notes (it usually works) but nothing seems to happen...
Attached my score and a screenshot from the sibelius file.

Lots of those notes have been set to explicit beams, probably due to what was in the MusicXML file. You should start by selecting all, then Layout / Reset Beam Mode. Then if you need to fix up a few things individually, you'll be able to.
Ctrl + A;
Double-click Auto (Beam Properties palette)?

Also i found out one has to double click the beaming in the palette. I did not know that :)

Fwiw, the beam palette is no different from others in this. Elements can be adopted by double click or drag and drop, same as with articulations, clefs, fingering, and pretty much everything else.
