Musescore 1.0 crashing on opening
First of all I am using a MacBook Pro mid-2010 model 13" core 2 duo 4Gb of Ram, and using Mac OS 10.6.7
I have been using musescore for several months. I now seem to have a problem with opening musescore 1.0. I open the program, momentarily see the interface with the metronome saying something like 7200BPM, get the pinwheel of death, then an error report. I have tried deleting and re-installing several times to no avail.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

My guess is you have setup MuseScore to start with a special score or to continue your last session. It would be very interesting to have a copy of this score if you can attach it to a new comment.
To solve your crash issue, you can Revert to factory settings .

Thanks, that seems to have fixed the problem. I don't know what score I was working on at the time, but I'll set musescore to open to a blank window from now on. Now I can copy my hand-written piece to musescore.
I haven't used MuseScore much lately, but today I tried to open it and I get an error message (see attachment).
I have tried downloading and installing the newest version (1.0.0) from the web (after uninstalling and rebooting). I've also tried reverting to factory settings.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium, with AVG Internet Security (this being the only major change since I last used MuseScore - I previously had McAfee). The problem occurs if I open the program, or open a previously saved file.

Did you try running MuseScore after deactivating AVG ?
