British and American terminology
Hi! When I hover the mouse over note values the value is displayed in American terminology (quarter note, eighth note...) - Is there a way to have this display British terminology of crotchets and quavers? I'm using Musescore for a class and I want to be able to explain the equivalence between terms.

Welcome, Donal! See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/language-settings-and-translation-upd… —note that you have to quit and reopen MuseScore to see the effect. The "en_GB" translation is the one you're looking for.

Ah! I didn't realise I had to restart to see the change. Thank you!

You're quite welcome. Have fun with the class.
By the way, if you're willing, I'm sure the developers would love to hear about how you're using MuseScore, if https://musescore.org/en/about/schools-universities-using-musescore is any indication.
