Those particular markings look to be non-standard versions of what more commonly are shown as "wings" - see Style / General / Barlines / Show repeat bar tips. This will automatically add the standard wings to all repeats. The Symbols palette can be used to create non-standard arrangements liek the one in your picture, but you'll have to do that manually for each repeat.

That's interesting. I came across those markings in two different scores of Haydn's Andante Movement in Symphony No. 94. One was actually printed that way (the one in the picture), and the other was handwritten in on a printed score and looked like the printed version.

I am guesisn gboth of those editions are at least 100 years old :-). The arrangement you show may indeed have been more common long ago.
