No Sound
I can't get any sound on either playback or during note entry. The Midi is enabled but that should not affect note entry sound. I went on Preferences under Edit but can't find anything that seems wrong or lacking under Note Entry or Import, etc My PC sound is OK, it's not that..Anyone?

You should have an item labeled "Synthesizer" under the View menu. It should look something like this:

The concern is that the big white rectangle might be empty on your installation.

Hi Everyone, I did look under View, clicked on Synthesizer, the big white rectangle came up, and to the right II noticed the VOLUME setting was on 0. I set the contol up and now I have sound!
I set that volume setting to my Default setting, so I hope I won't have to do this every time I open a different file. (Under View, The Synthesizer button would NOT activate until I opened the file I am presently working on.) It would not work by just having MS turned on.
Thank You P.S. Looks like no problem the Default must be working. I opened a previous file and the sound on it is OK!

For the record - if you change the volume in the Synthesizer window, this affects all scores *for as long as you leave MuseScore open*. When you close and restart MuseScore, it goes back to the default. If you hit the "Set as Default" button, then the current settings *becomes* the default, so it is remembered the next time you start MuseScore.
Probably you had messed with some settings during a previous attempt at installing MuseScore 2.0, so you really should do the Help / Revert to Factory Settings to make sure nothing else is messed up. Otherwise you might see other hard-to-diagnose problems from other messed up settings.
Chances are some settings from a previous attempt to install 2.0 are interfering with your current installation. The usual fix is Help / Revert to Factory settings.
