Use Case

Ability to select a score pattern and auto-fill a selected number of bars and staves with the pattern.

A score pattern can be anything: a melody, or rests of different duration.

What is new

With this method is possible to auto-fill both horizontally (over bars) and vertically (over staves) fill at once.

Issue current implementation

Multiple use of the R key required to fill an area (bars and staves):

  1. Copy the single measure,
  2. Paste into the first measure of the target area,
  3. Press [R] a few times.

Implementation suggestion:

  1. Crtl-C to copy the pattern (one or more bars),
  2. Shift-Select the target area (multi-bar, multi-stave),
  3. Crtl-V to fill it with the pattern.

Alternative implementation suggestion: a visual auto-fill feature similar to Microsoft Excel autofill (see screenshot).
